What it's made of now is about where it came from and where it's going.

The Dew Drop linear pendants make use of a raw aluminum channel acting as both the structure of the lamp and a heat sink for the built-in LED lights. Aluminum is one of the most widely recycled materials. We use it with almost no alterations and without any paint or coatings to minimize it's environmental impact and make that much easier to upcycle or recycle. The drip shape inspired translucent diffusers are 3D printed recycled PET from Reflow Filament in Amsterdam. Each linear foot of the Dew Drop light transforms 15 plastic bottles from waste into a durable product. Like the aluminum, and all our 3D printed parts, the diffusers are free from any glues, coatings or paint to maintain their material integrity to be easily recycled into another Cyrc product in the future.

PET(Polyethylene terephthalate)
We know PET all too well. It's what most of those plastic bottles and synthetic garments are made from. It's been FDA approved for 30 years and widely considered non-toxic. PET is a popular plastic for single-use goods and its ubiquity as garbage across the planet is now widely seen as a global catastrophe. In a landfill, it takes at least 500 years to decompose. That being said, it's a wonder material. Its durability is outstanding and it's easy to recycle.
This why we are working towards our in-house recycling to use only recycled PET and then keep this beautiful technical nutrient a circular economy. Please let us when our product is at the end of it's days with you and we will happily take back that product to be re-manufactured.
